We’re coming into the conference / trade show season and as HR Tech speeds ahead there are a few industry get-togethers you won’t want to miss! These are the four HR tech events that caught my eye;
UNLEASH (Formerly HR Tech World) – London 20th – 21st March
The big one! If you’re going to attend any HR tech event this year, this is probably the one to choose. This year they have 12 stages and the quality and diversity of the speakers is pretty interesting – keynote speakers include Jonas Kjellberg (co-founder of Skype) and representatives from Deutsche Telekom, Twitter, Maersk and many many more. It takes place at the huge ExCel Centre in Canary Wharf, a short hop from City Airport or a brief train ride from central London. Get tickets before 28th February to avoid additional cost!
Beyond – The Global HR Leadership Forum – Amsterdam 14th – 15th June 2018
This is a forum in the true sense. It involves panels of speakers, masterclasses with live case studies, a massive hackathon and 5* networking banquet. If you want to idle around a conference centre and see a couple of speakers this is not for you. If you want to challenge your own ideas of HR tech, dig deep into the big questions and meet truly inspirational leaders then give Beyond a go! It’s a hands-on, interactive festival of HR where amongst other things you could network your way into your dream role.
HR360 European Summit – Vienna 20th – 21st June 2018
Speakers? HR Directors from all the big names will be there – BBC, Cisco, SAP, Shell, Nokia…. need I continue? I think you get the idea. HR360 has an impressive list of leaders and this is not your average conference. Each attendee is given the ‘VIP’ treatment with a three-course sit-down meal for each day. Oh and it’s in the Imperial Riding School! This is the Davos for HR professionals with a price tag to match.
Rethink HR Tech – Berlin, 21st – 23rd November 2018
It does seem that location often reflects the type of event and Berlin’s main HR event is perhaps what you would expect. Rethink HR Tech has the young cool innovative vibe that Berlin exudes. If you work in HR Tech for a truly forward thinking organisation, this is the one for you. The speaker line-up hasn’t been released yet but 2017 saw representatives from YouTube, Booking.com and Facebook as well Lufthansa, Vodafone and Novartis. This would be our HR tech event recommendation for the futurists amongst you!
